I am writing a workshop on handling poor performance effectively. it will cover both early intervention and giving effective feedback as well as case studies on handling bigger issues and the legal framework.
I'm really interested in any exercises or ice breakers any one has used across this area

Dig out the core competencies that were written for the majority of those attending.

Working in small groups Stick them on a flip chart ask what 'bad' looks like. Repeat for 'good'. Now ask for suggestions on how to bridge the gap and how these suggestions can be best monitored and evaluated.
