I'm looking for suggestions for a team exercise that I can give to the MD of a client for their yearly company conference for the managers. Theme of the conference is cementing the year finished (they had great results) and focusing on the future – aiming for 50% increase in revenue over the next 5 years…which means change.

Options are for
- A short exercise of 1 hour
- Or a complete afternoon
- For about 15-20 people

Venue is suitable for indoor/outdoor/combination!

thank you in advance
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer

along the lines of what Diane has suggested, there is the well-known and very popular Marshmallow Challenge. This is done in corporations and many learnings can be derived from the activitiy, and it is very fun. visit their website http://marshmallowchallenge.com/ where you will find the instructions, a TED talk, and plenty of information to run it. There is even a page on the site with photos - some very creative solutions!! I have run this many times and it is a fabulous and very entertaining exercise. It may be suitable for what you are looking for.

Good luck and let us know how you go!

This is loads of fun!

You need packets of marshmallows (the big fat pink and white ones)and some packets of spaghetti. Split the group and ask them to build a bridge using the aforementioned. See how they work together and the viability of the result.
