Dear all
We are keen to further enhance our induction offering, and I wondered if anyone on the forum had any good ideas/suggestions for this. Our current offering consists of standard induction topics (Health and Safety, T&C's, Culture etc.). We would like to add some "wow" impact factor if possible.
Look forward to hearing your views.
Many thanks
Dee

Hi,
I am aware of a fairly simple portal that has been developed by People Alchemy. I haven't been able to utilise it myself in our organisation as we are still getting to grips with some of the basics of onboarding globally. Contact name: Paul Matthews, email: www.peoplealchemy.co.uk Good luck!

Hi Dee - I include a potted history of the company and some positives for working for the organisation including perks if there are any of course and what support they can expect from you during their probation period. Hope this helps Nigel

Dear all
Thank you for your responses. We do have a challenge in that we are multi-jurisdictional so therefore on occasion have to do our ?welcome session? induction via webinar, and not in a group setting, which limits the interaction. Is anyone using an online on-boarding portal to engage with new joiners before their start date? Would it be something you would recommend? Any further suggestions welcome.
Many thanks again Dee

We run an induction session at our head office for all new staff who join our organisation every other month and we have tended to create a day that is full of activities and we steer away from thinks like H&S, polocies and procedures and T&C;'s as this should all be covered by their managers and HR when they join and to be honest can be a bit dry to cover. We aim to introduce them to the ethos of the organisation and its structure, we involve our CEO and senior management teams in the delivery of this, so new staff see the senior management team and meet them in person which always goes down well. Through the presentations we have interactive quizes with simple prizes and this helps keep your delagates engagaged. We look at behaviours and link this to providing good customer service as this is what we are about and aim to get them thinking. Hope this helps

Hi Dee - there are a few things in the library that can certainly help. Can I just check how big are the group sizes and also how long does the course run for?

Thanks

Frances
