Hi,

I have been asked to put together an hour 45 - 60 min long activity for a teadm event. The purpose is to get two parts of the team to reflect upon the others job role and the pressures they are under so that they can take a balanced view and respond accordinlgy instead of feeling agrieved if they do not get the response that they were hoping for.

Thanks on advance for any responses

Hi Matt try an exercise called "managing boundaries". It gets people to think about the fact that they don't just work in isolation but require input from other people to carry out their roles (and of course they have to input to assist others deliver too). Basically, it requires them to think about what they need from others and why, what they can offer others and why and then create dialogue about how that synergy can happen most effectively. I've had some good results with it in Team settings!

Hi Matt.

A good plan would be for each team to swap roles for a day or two (one at a time if need be) - to really experience what the other does and then come together for the 45 minute session to offer ideas for improvement? I'm not sure that any simulation would surpass the reality.

Best
